X-ray Quality Control (QC) Tools

Image Quality Phantom for General Radiography and Fluoroscopy

This image quality phantom is ideal for regular QA/QC. It can be used with both digital and analog systems for general radiography and fluoroscopy. A single exposure provides all the parameters necessary for image quality control of X-ray systems.
The QUART SP_dl phantom complies with IEC, DIN 6868-150, DIN 6868-4, IPEM, ÖNORM, PN-EN, and AFSSAPS.

[Evaluation Items]
• Spatial resolution

• Low-contrast resolution

• Field alignment

• Image uniformity

• Artifacts, image defects

• Generator stability

• Beam quality

• Dose indication

This is a frame that extends the QUART SP_dl to 330 × 330 mm.

A test object for measuring voltage. You can easily verify kV stability using two different test objects (Yb, Pb).

An image quality phantom ideal for general radiography and fluoroscopy systems using CR, DR (CCD), and film systems.Since it lacks a planar grid structure, it clearly depicts mixed foreign objects. It complies with IEC 61223-3-1 and -2-11, as well as DIN 6868-13, -58, and -150.

This is an image quality phantom ideal for general radiography and fluoroscopy systems using film. It can also be used for basic resolution testing of digital X-ray imaging modalities. Since it lacks a planar grid structure, it clearly reveals artifacts that interfere with the imaging chain. It complies with DIN 6868-3 and 4.

X-ray Tube Focus Measurement Tools

These are tools for measuring X-ray tube focal spots. These measurement tools are designed to accurately measure the width and length of the X-ray device’s effective focal spot projected onto the center of the radiation field. While the slit camera method requires two exposures, the pinhole camera method allows for the evaluation of focal spot dimensions in a single exposure, thereby reducing the time required for focal spot evaluation.

  • Allows analysis of focal changes over time
  • Hot spots within the projected focal spot are imaged with lower intensity, similar to the surrounding area.
  • The focal image is used directly to analyze the focal density distribution.
  • The pinhole’s coating material provides ideal contrast and sharpness.
  • Can be used in conjunction with AEC (Automatic Exposure Control)

An easy-to-use beam alignment evaluation tool. It features a two-ring structure for evaluating alignment accuracy.
The optional four-ring structure allows for the evaluation of correlation at different angles between 0 and 6°.

An aluminum step wedge for evaluating dose reproducibility and the sensitivity characteristics of film systems.

  • Steps: 21 steps (1.5 mm wide)
  • Dimensions: 231 x 110 x 31.5 mm

A compact wedge tool for low-contrast evaluation. It is designed to evaluate a wide range of contrast details related to X-ray equipment. If this wedge is still visible against image noise, it allows for the precise identification of the visibility limit (IQF (Image Quality Factor) or the limit of the CD curve). It features a length of 4 cm and three low-contrast holes with a diameter of 2.0 mm.

Used in film systems to evaluate film adhesion. This evaluation tool features an open space designed for optical density measurement.

  • Mesh width: 3.2 mm
  • Wire: 0.7 mm diameter

AEC Evaluation Set / Additional Filters

The QUART AEC RAD Test Set is used to evaluate the AEC (Automatic  Exposure Control) function. Additional sheets can be added upon request.

  • Size: 240 x 240 mm
  • Thickness: 20 mm x 9 sheets / 10 mm x 1 sheet / 5 mm x 2 sheets

This is an aluminum added filter compliant with standards used for QA testing on general radiography and fluoroscopy systems. It features an adapter that fits various rails.

  • Thickness: 25 mm
  • Purity: 99.5%
  • Rail width: 176 mm or 169 mm

This is a variable rail adapter for filters. It accommodates widths from 98 mm to 174 mm and can be mounted on a variety of rails.

A stand designed to secure aluminum filters in the proper position. The height can be extended up to 80 cm with an optional extension pole.

A standard-compliant copper-coated filter suitable for QA testing on general radiography and fluoroscopy systems.

  • Thickness: 1.0 mm
  • Purity: 99.9%

Image Quality Phantom for Angiography

This is an image quality phantom designed to enable high-precision quality control for angiography systems. It is designed as a Type B sliding phantom to maximize QC performance and complies with IEC 61223-3-3, DIN 6868-4, and DIN 6868-10.
