X-ray Protective Apron
Since X-ray protective apron is the product our customers use most frequently and are most familiar with, we believe that comfort, high protection, and style are essential—which is why our garments combine high performance with unique features.
Furthermore, we have incorporated design elements to reduce weight not only in the materials but also in the shoulder pads and waist belt. Additionally, the use of “KRYPTOLiTE,” a new ultra-lightweight, lead-free shielding material, ensures that you can wear the apron for extended periods without feeling the weight.

– Ultra-lightweight, lead-free shielding material: KRYPTOLiTE
KRYPTOLiTE, a lead-free material, was developed through a joint venture with Germany using a patented chemical formulation. KRYPTOLiTE possesses an extremely high PWR (Protection-to-Weight Ratio) and, through its multi-layered structure technology, absorbs both fluorescent radiation and backscattered radiation, providing users with optimal safety.
KRYPTOLiTE complies with the new IEC 61331-3:2014 standard and has been tested according to the BBG method. It is flexible and conforms to the body, reducing fatigue during wear and making it ideal for prolonged use during procedures such as surgery.
– Lightweight shielding sheet
Through years of research, we have successfully developed a lead sheet that is lighter, softer, and more crack-resistant than conventional materials. By studying material composition at the molecular level, we have achieved weight reduction for both lead-free and lead-containing sheets without compromising X-ray shielding performance. Furthermore, performance complies with the new IEC 61331-3:2014 standard and has been verified through testing conducted at a German laboratory.

– Temperature-regulating material “Outlast™”
Outlast™ was originally developed for use in NASA space suits. The microcapsules contained in the material absorb excess body heat and release it when it gets cold, maintaining the temperature range (31°C–33°C) that people find most comfortable. By using Outlast™ in the lining, the Uniray apron helps reduce perspiration during long surgeries and ensures comfortable wear.
– Thoughtful Features
The shoulder pads are made of a soft, non-slip material designed to enhance the fit when worn. The waist
belt reduces the burden of weight, minimizes fatigue even during prolonged wear, and is designed to accommodate a wide range of movements during work.
■ Back Saver Apron
The built-in waist belt features a pleated membrane design that utilizes buoyancy to lift the entire protector. This creates a corset-like effect, significantly reducing the weight burden on the shoulders, back, and spine. We also offer a variety of models to suit different needs, including vest&skirt model and double-sided model that provide protection on both sides, as well as coat aprons that protect the front.
*The vest&skirt model also has a built-in belt in the skirt.
■ Lady Armuor Apron
Lady Armour is radiation protection gear designed specifically for female medical professionals, featuring a structure and materials tailored to shield the breast and axillary regions.
It is lightweight, comfortable, and offers high freedom of movement, making it an excellent choice for reducing radiation exposure risks and physical strain during long hours of radiation-related work.
Features
・Protects the axillary lymph nodes, shoulder joints, and spinal cord with added sleeves, extended sides, and underarm coverage.
・Enhances thyroid protection with a 0.50mm Pb thyroid shield
・Features a pocket structure on the front of the skirt that allows for the insertion of a removable shielding sheet.
・This product is a set consisting of a vest, skirt, sleeves, thyroid shield, and genital shield.
■ Coat Apron
This is the most popular model for protecting the front. It features built-in shoulder pads to reduce strain on the shoulders. Two fastening options are available Velcro tape and buckles.
■ Surgical Apron
The apron can be easily removed by simply unfastening the Velcro fasteners.
After surgery, it can be cleaned while remaining free of blood or chemicals.

■ Skirt & Vest
This model protects against scattered radiation not only from the front but also from the rear. Since the top and bottom are separate, it reduces the weight burden on the shoulders, making it ideal for extended wear.
- Vest Optixx
The front overlaps by 15 cm, making it easy to adjust the size and ensuring a snug fit. The overlapping area is protected by a double-layered shielding sheet.
- Vest Maxx
The entire front overlaps, ensuring full coverage. The overlapping section and shoulder area are designed to have the same lead equivalent.

– Skirt
The skirt is the Maxx type and protects the reproductive organs, which are sensitive to X-rays. It is also designed with a shorter back for ease of movement.

■ Double-Sided Apron
This model provides all-around protection, taking into account scattered radiation from the back and sides. It comes standard with padding and a waist belt, ensuring a lightweight and comfortable fit. The back is shorter for ease of movement.
– Optixx
The front overlaps by 15 cm, making it easy to adjust the size and ensuring a snug fit. The overlapping area is protected by a double-layered shielding sheet.
– Maxx
The entire front overlaps, providing reliable protection across the entire front. The overlapping section and shoulder area are designed to have the same lead equivalent.
