Can area dosimeters be installed in existing equipment?

Even for X-ray systems that do not already have a dose display function, VacuDAP can be easily installed by attaching a filter rail beneath the X-ray system’s aperture (collimator).

This device can be installed on most units sold in Japan by selecting the appropriate combination of meter size and mounting rail width. Once wired to the display unit, it is ready for immediate use without any complicated setup.

In particular, the VacuDAP Bluetooth model eliminates the need for wiring, allowing for wireless connection to the display unit without any cable installation. Furthermore, even for mobile imaging systems where power supply is difficult to secure, the VacuDAP compact model is battery-powered, enabling dose measurement during imaging in patient wards and operating rooms.
